Zirga-zirga

It was all intriguing…I enjoyed it. The start of another journey to enlightenment; I can’t be tired of it, in any way…I learned a lot from this one-time opportunity.

Celebrations have become a core part of our many cultures and apart from the strain on our mentality, the outpouring emotions, the differentials in practices and attendant accommodation required, the financial implication and other socio-economic variables and religious undertone, we are all faced with the reality that the bond is always uneven, hence zirga-zirga.

We strive (as though our lives depend on it) to please ourselves by pleasing others- in-laws, friends, (senior) colleagues, associates, parents, siblings, neighbours and the list is endless, thus zirga-zirga.

Our lives depend on the depth of the bond that we create with our within when we look beyond the outlook of our self-determined limitations. We grow better looking beyond our current situation with our goal in sight even if blur, that’s zirga-zirga.

Now, I must confess that zirga-zirga keeps us going and is required but note and well as well that caution is required.

Friends are necessary to help us enjoy our zirga-zirga. Mehn, we were at the start of our lives; yet we bonded like brothers. I now know that you can meet brothers on a single visit. I met some fine gentlemen: JohnDan, Manchang, Pirmah, Nanjul; Oh, I longed to see Keswet and Philip.
