Education is scam!
School na scam!
I agree and I don't disagree🤣
My view for now.
University education is not your gateway to breakthrough, it is the gate, only. It's your choice to use the thoroughfare it unveils, unfolds, & unravels.

Jesus' disciples were with him for about 3 years. When he was leaving, He promised them the Holy Spirit who would guide them into all truth. He didn't give them all. See, your few semesters in the University is insufficient to give you all you need for life and existence.

When you complain that what you get in school is not what you need in life, it is partly and I might add significantly because you are unaware of what a University is. Let me explain...

When given assignments in school, rather than do it yourself & learn the "how", you gave up your right to complain that school is scam, because it's not just the assignment, it was a learning process. Skills you forfeited: research, writing, articulation, presentation etc.

When taking tests and exam, but you cheated, you gave up. Skills forfeited: Critical thinking, problem-solving, independent thinking, cost-benefit analysis etc.

For final year projects and you are uninterested. Skills forfeited: research, problem identification, problem-solving, reading, writing, articulation etc. When you get to the labour market where these skills are in demand and you can't cope, who is to blame?

You can't cut corners and turn back to cry foul. Just like a case I heard: the young man killed his parents and when he was to be sentenced begged for mercy because he is an orphan.

A case in point

One significant area I have argued over the years is business plan development.
Many management students & graduates: We were not taught how to write a business plan.
Me: Did you take any writing course? GST, GNS, any at all?
Them: Yes
Me: Did you take any accounting course? Bookkeeping, Financial Accounting?
Them: Also, yes!
Me: Did you take any Statistics course?
Them: Yes of course.
Me: Did you take any financial management course? Economics course?
Them: I even remember the Lecturers sef.
Me: Did you take a course on Logic? Culture, Civilisation, People etc.
Them: Na General courses.
Me: Did you take any course on business policy and strategy?
Them: where is this going, but yes!
Me: what else is in a business plan?
Them: the practical experience of doing it.

Me: while some universities provide practical opportunities, not all can, but the platform is available in all.

The most significant skill you should get from a university is the ability to learn, unlearn, and relearn! If your university does not provide that, please check out, but before you do, introspect (check yourself first), then raise the issue with concerned stakeholders.
